While many jobless Nigerians are busy trekking across the length and breadth of the country in honor of their favorite politicians and to earn their own five minutes of fame plus a little change, an art graduate Ezemagu Sunday Nnamdi has immortalized outgoing president Goodluck Jonathan in an impressive sculpture.

A big fan President Jonathan, Nnamdi is said to have dubbed him “a hero of democracy.”

Nnamdi [seen in our photo admiring his work] started the project two weeks ago in Jonathan’s hometown, Otuoke in Bayelsa State and the true to life image is nearing completion.

Walmart pays actor Tracey Morgan $90m for crash that almost cost his leg

According to MTO, American supermarket chain Walmart has settled its legal suit with comic actor Tracey Morgan with a payout of $90 million.

Quoting a legal source in the know, MTO says Morgan is to receive the massive settlement from the corporate giant over a period of five years.

One website quotes Morgan as saying about the settlement: “Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably.”

Morgan was almost left crippled after a Walmart truck crashed into his limo in June 2014.

Upper East Region NPP Chairman, Mr. Adams Mahama, has died following an acid attack outside his home last Thursday.

According to Accra-based Joy FM, two suspects, including Gregory Afoko younger brother of the NPP’s chairman, have been charged for Mahama’s murder.

The death of Mr Mahama who has since been buried according to Islamic rites has deepened divisions within the NPP, with some calling for Mr. Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong to step down from their posts.

Pope Francis says he has not watched the telly for 25 years because he made a promise to the Virgin Mary on July 115, 1990.

That promise has kept him from watching his favorite soccer team, Buenos Aires-based San Lorenzo, but he told the paper a member of his Swiss Guard tells him the scores and keeps him up to date on the standings.

In an interview published in the Argentinian newspaper La Voz del Pueblo, the pontiff also said he doesn’t use the internet either (besides tweeting).
